Merino Wool socks

See Jasmine Silk’s collection of wool socks, all made with high-quality merino wool and finished with ribbed detailing. We have luxury socks for both men and women in this collection so you’re sure to find something suitable for you.

Treat your feet to ultimate comfort and breathability whilst keeping them nice and warm this winter. Merino wool is one of the best materials to use in socks as it is moisture-wicking, meaning any moisture or sweat from your feet will be moved to the outer of the sock, keeping your feet comfortable.

Is it better to wear cotton or wool socks?

Cotton is a naturally absorbent material, meaning it is likely that the sock will absorb moisture from your feet and go damp, whereas wool doesn’t absorb this moisture and instead expels it to the sock’s surface, keeping your feet dry.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it better to wear cotton or wool socks?

Well, both materials offer different things so it is not a case of better but what is better for you. Cotton socks are naturally breathable and are often better for everyday use. They are hypoallergenic so if you are prone to sensitive skin, these socks would be a better option for you. Wool socks are brilliant at keeping in heat so they are perfect for those chilly winter nights and will keep you drier if your feet get wet in comparison to cotton socks!

What percentage of merino wool socks are the best?

It’s hard to say which is the best when it comes down to preference. If you prefer cheaper alternatives but still  have the added benefits of moisture-sicking and odour resistance, then less than 50% will be ideal for you. However, if you  want to take full advantage of merino wool then more than 80% is the best. It offers increased warmth and softness.

How do I wash Merino Wool Socks?

It is always best to read the label first as information may differ slightly. Merino wool socks are best washed with cold water and a small amount of mild detergent. Let them soak for 5-10 minutes before gently squeezing out the water. Make sure you don't wring it and damage the material and air dry flat!
